The state government has extended the last date for sale and acceptance of admission forms for six autonomous engineering colleges by two days till June 30. "June 28 was the deadline. Considering that many students are facing problems in getting non-creamy layer certificates, the date has been extended," said N B Dhokey, chairman of the admission process for autonomous engineering colleges.

He said that the provisional merit list will be put up on the website www.coep.org.in of the College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) on July 1. The schedule of completing the first round of admission by July 14 will remain unchanged so that the colleges can start the courses on July 15.

The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for six autonomous engineering colleges began on June 18. Till June 27, a total of 12,412 forms were sold in the state, of which 2,953 were from Pune. "This year we had put up banners about the intake capacity, checklist of documents, cut-off and so on which minimized queries and confusion," Dhokey said.
