"The mandate of CTVT has been to focus on skill development and professional training of manpower for the building and construction sectors. CTVT will also be launching a short term executive develop ment programme (EDP) for working executives.

The EDP could be sponsored by a company / organisation for its own executives or be open to all industry executives. The skill development and professional training courses offered are largely those approved by the Government of Maharashtra and / or other reputed international agencies like City & Guilds.

Jain said that CTVT is the building and construction industry's response to its dire need of skilled and competent manpower CTVT is managed by a special Institute Management Committee (IMC) nominated by the promoters and Jain. The first batch of 32 students have been fully placed in reputed companies, some of which are Simplex Ltd, Petron Ltd, Durocrete Constn Quality Rating Agency (P) Ltd., Platicon Civil Engg (P) Ltd, Ank Engg(P) Ltd Admissions are open for the second batch. This is a one year comprehensive course for technicians, and admissions will be on first come first served basis. The candidates should have a minimum qualification of Xth std pass.
