Traffic Changes For Shivjayanti Palkhis

Some traffic changes will be made on major roads to facilitate processions to be taken out to mark birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji on Monday.

The traffic on Laxmi road from Sant Kabir chowk to Sonya Maruti chowk will remain closed for vehicles from 3 pm till the end of the procession. Two more processions will be taken out in cantonment and Khadki bazaar from 5.30 pm and 6 pm respectively.

The main yatra will start from Bhavani mata mandir and reach Shivaji statue chowk via Juna motor stand, Pudumjee chowky, Bharat talkies, A.D. Camp chowk, Pandit Nehru road, Islampura chowk Sant Kabit chowk, Laxmi road, Nanawadi chowk, Chacha Halwai chowk, Aruna chowk, Nana Peth chowky, Alpana talkies, Dulya Maruti chowk, Hamjekhan chowk, Satranjiwala chowk, Sonya Maruti chowk, Phadke Haud chowk, Lal Mahal, Shaniwarwada, Gadgil statue and Premier garage.

The procession in cantonment will start from Khane Maruti chowk and will travel via Pulgate chowk, New Modikhana, Mukti Fauj chowk, Jamatul Qureshi mosque, Bhopale chowk, Central street chowk, Mahaveer chowk, M G Road and turn right at Kohinoor hotel chowk to reach Asudkhana chowk.

The procession in Khadki bazaar chowk will start from Shivaji statue in Khadki bazaar and pass through Gopi chowk, Cantonment hospital chowk, Shriram Mandir chowk, Asudkhan chowk, Juna Bazaar, Navi Talim, Gopi chowk, Crown hotel, Tikaram chowk, Agarwal school and Gandhi chowk before returning back to Shivaji statue.
