Civic chiefs mull over making cities investor-friendly

Babus are taking lessons to transform their vision, perception and attitude to face civic challenges in a changing situation at the two-day brain-storming workshop which began on Saturday.
And the initiative came from none other than the Urban Development Department (UDD), which felt it necessary to reorient the approach of all municipal commissioners. So 26 municipal commissioners marked their attendance at the workshop and are being guided by experts like Amitabh Kundu of Jawaharlal Nehru University, retired IIT professor P V Indiresan and Principal Secretary (Industries) Vishwas Dhumal while Nutan Zarapkar of American Centre made a Power Point presentation on sustainable development.
